DAVID NETHERTON, DIRECTOR OF PACIFIC LAW

David is a director of Pacific Law, a boutique national law firm that specialises in property development, retirement village law, commercial law and wills & estates.
He is an experienced property lawyer with more than 20 years of experience working in the retirement village and home park industries. He has worked for most of the major operators in the industry and has helped buy, sell and/or manage over 100 villages and parks around Australia.

David has represented the Qld Law Society in submissions to government on the Retirement Village and Manufactured Home Park legislation. He has also provided the legal presentation for the Property Council of Australia’s national video series on ‘Explaining Retirement Villages’.

MATT GROSS – MARKET RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Matthew founded The National Property Research Co. (NPR Co) in 1999, a multi-disciplinary property consultancy that has served both the private and public sectors across Australia and New Zealand. He continues to work on some of the largest property transactions in the country where his analytical expertise is highly regarded.

His most recent achievements include working on key projects such as the Commonwealth Games Village, Queens Wharf Bids, Jewel on the Gold Coast, Yarrabilba, Flagstone and other major master planned communities.

NPR Co has a passion for retiree-based accommodation with Matt working as the Marketing and Research Manager for Co-operative Retirement Services in the 1990’s. He has since gone on to provide critical research for organisations such as Aveo Limited, Churches of Christ, Ozcare, Seachange Resort Lifestyles, Orianna Resort Lifestyles, Regis Limited to name a few. In 1998, Matthew also completed his Masters Thesis on Ageing in China and the Need for Age Specific Accommodation.
